The thing a lot of us don’t realize now is that 1987 was like the hay day of hair metal. So these guys are bringing something really kind of different. It was goofy and kind of like XTC and talking heads, its interesting to look at this music again now. At this point, the labels were required to do much of anything and like so many of the bands were like just exactly the same as each other. Yeah, to go out of your way to find something that like, wasn’t trying to be Van Halen

I wasn't at this show but I was at the show in New Orleans the same year or was it 91. The clown album was in full effect the lp had already blown my mind by the absolute Genius of it all. Trevor Trey and Mike carrying it on today with Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo. Yeah and I was 14 years old and I was taken back by this year Shear chicanery of it all this was an absolute godsend and this music is stuck with me now at 48 years old I'm still enamored by this music my goodness the new album is just a monster.

I see a lot of people talking about this being "The best concert ever"... or "I wonder if people knew they were watching the best concert ever"..... Sorry, but I have to disagree. Not about Manson, but this particular show. This was honestly one of the WORST shows on this whole tour... It's still great... but not even nearly Manson at peak power. I saw him on two dates of the Dead to the world tour (His actual headlining tour for this cycle), and it was absolutely AWESOME. This isn't even the full set he did on his tour, this is a short festival set, with none of his props or lighting, in the middle of the day, with shitty monitors apparently because Manson obviously wants to destroy the monitor man the entire show lol. Anyway, if you guys think this show's great... you should take a look at some of the other shows from this tour. I got to see two dates of it, Valentines day of 1997 in Dayton Ohio, and then again that April in Louisville Ky. You can actually find the majority of the Louisville show here on youtube, THAT in my opinion, Louisville Gardens in Louisville Ky, in April of 1997 was in my opinion the best show of the whole Dead to the World/Antichrist Superstar world tour. It was insane. There was as much chaos outside as there was inside lol... Protestors EVERYWHERE.. I remember one baptist pastor, an old black guy in a (no shit) White Boss Hogg suit with a big white cowboy hat, who was condemning us all to hell as we were waiting in line to get in.. people throwing things at us from the windows of city buses as they went by... It was an insane evening lol. I had this girl, and a few buddies with me, all three of my buddies were wearing dresses lol... and we got pulled over by Kentucky State police on the way home... That trooper didn't know what the fuck to think, he called in back up apparently because the next thing I knew there were like 10 state troopers there, had all of us separated and questioning us and shit lol... I can't imagine what they must have THOUGHT was going on lol... Anyway... Thats an awful long story to just say... DAMN I miss those days lol.

Manson was the first concert I ever went to back in 99 when he toured with Hole. The instrumentals always sound absolutely horrible live.
